Set-backs...

Tim's mother was to come home from rehab after her hip replacement yesterday, instead she was in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. Today she's having surgery to remove the obstruction - we're hoping that it is as straightforward as it can be and that she is able to make a good recovery. She's struggled with intestinal cancer in the past and we're hoping and praying that this episode isn't cancerous.

My father faces surgery in July as well. He has several quite enlarged lymph nodes. 2 yrs ago he had surgery for bowel and bladder cancer (bladder removal). In the upcoming surgery, they will try to do a biopsy. After that the Cancer Centre will take over the treatment. They have said that there are "multiple sites" - we're not sure what all the implications are, but we trust God to hold Dad in his hand.

So with all that's going on we are particularly looking forward to the visit of my brother and his family from out west! We will enjoy the time we have to spend together and make the very most of it!

God will either give you what you ask, or something far better.
