Hot off the press...

A quick post while my boy is asleep and I just finished the layout using the photo of Ben napping. The little saying on the bottom reads: "Let him sleep... for when he wakes he will move mountains" (Napolean) I had so much fun creating this layout - especially the chipboard flourishes which were inked with several different chalk inks, rubbed with Perfect Pearls and glazed with Glossy Accents - they have a nice gemstone look to them and I'm pleased.

I can't really explain why I enjoy scrapbooking so much... but I think it's because I've always enjoyed art and composition. I'd love to learn to paint, use dry pastels properly, work with clay, and so many other things, but for now this hobby helps feed the need to express myself with colours and
textures.

Well.... I'm going to return to my basement "scrapping cave" to see what else I can come up with during Ben's precious nap!
