First backyard fire of the season

Last night we enjoyed our first little backyard fire of the year. Thanks to the strong windstorms we've had this spring there are lots of falllen branchs & twigs from our maple tree that we have to burn. Was a nice little fire and we even enjoyed smelling like smoke! This summer there will be many evenings at the fire and Ben will learn all about roasting "spider dogs" (split hotdogs) and of course, marshmallows.






While we were enjoying the fire, Ben was enjoying running around the backyard with his smiley ball. He was goofy and beyond tired by that time and sooo much fun!
